The first Arctic TreeHouse Hotel is arguably the best place to experience the Arctic Circle and the beauty of the Northern Lights. What can be better than a cosy ambiance of lavish suites nestled at the snow-capped theme park in Rovaniemi, Finland?
Known as the official home town of Santa Claus, Rovaniemi is now an exclusive destination for those who prefer relaxing in style. A luxury boutique venue Arctic TreeHouse Hotel has been designed by Helsinki architecture firm Studio Puisto in a response to a growing demand for a unique accommodation in Lapland. The property comprises 37 high-end suites, five of which, billed as “Arctic Glass Houses,” feature two bedrooms, a lounge with a fireplace, a private sauna and floor-to-ceiling windows offering vista of the Finnish forest or tremendous nighttime displays of the Northern Lights. Twin and family suites are fitted with ensuite bathrooms and some with kitchenette.
Scheduled to open on November 19th, Arctic TreeHouse Hotel has restaurant and bar. On-site restaurant Rakas (which translates from Finnish to “darling”) serves continental and local menu and is spacious enough to seat up to 130 guests. The design of the venue is reminiscent of the Finnish smoke sauna with its dark panelling, and the easy manner of the Lappish people.
