Russian yacht designer Max Zhivov has unveiled the 35 meter Black Iceberg concept inspired by Nordic nature and legendary Viking boats. The name of the concept was chosen because of the carbon insets on the sides of yacht that resemble ice blocks. The hull of the vessel is made of carbon fiber as well and is covered by a sheet of solar panels on the upper side to supply it with necessary energy. Noteworthy is the fact that the solar panels cover a total area of 32 meters on the upper side.
The Black Iceberg can accommodate eight guests in two guest cabins and two master suites, located at the forepeak and at the center of the hull. The crew cabins can be found at the stern. The saloon on the main deck includes dining room and lounge area.
The carbon fiber body of the Black Iceberg yacht concept, makes it incredibly lightweight and functional. The vessel is easier to handle because of reduced loads, and therefore safer. We can’t but emphasize the fact that lightweight yacht concept designed by Max Zhivov is environmentally friendly, as the use of carbon fiber accounts for reduce of fuel consumption and better performance. Black Iceberg has a top speed of 25 knots.
