The competition International Wine Guide Awards is organized and developed by Catavinum in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. The “Great Gold” Medal is only awarded to those outperforming the criteria for Gold medals, honoring the outstanding quality and taste of the champagne. Champagne De Watère Takes the Prestigious Great Gold Medal At IWGA 2016This year, out of thousands of participating wines, only six Great Gold medals were won by champagnes and two of those were given to Champagne De Watère. This makes it the only champagne whose entire selection has won a medal.

Champagne De Watère is made in the Vallée de la Marne – the heartland of Champagne, France – from a single Premier Cru Vineyard. This exceptional champagne is known for its overwhelming taste and understated elegance and its balanced yet powerful character.

De Watère Cuvée 1er Cru Brut Blanc is composed of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay that ripened to perfect blend for at least 3 years in private chalk caves. De Watère Cuvée Brut Rosé de Saignée, from 100% Pinot Noir, has a profound red color and possess the immaculate taste of blackberries and raspberries.
