Set to open December 2016, Auberge Resorts Collection’s new Chileno Bay Resort & Residences is located on the most coveted beach in Los Cabos, Mexico. Set amidst the prestigious 1,200-acre resort community of Chileno Bay, a Discovery Land Company development, the family-friendly resort includes a private beach club, Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole golf course, Chileno Bay Residences, created by award-winning architecture firms Glazier Le Architects and Girvin Associates, signature restaurant, destination spa and Auberge’s signature exceptional service. The three-tiered zero-edge pool which spans over 150 yards is the centerpiece of the resort.
Chileno Bay Resort & Residences consists of 60 guest rooms ranging from 760 to 885 square feet of interior and exterior space, and 32 expansive two-, three-, and four-bedroom villas ranging from 3,300 to 4,500 square feet. The villas boast outdoor showers, terraces, indoor showers and soaking tubs, along with handcrafted furniture and accessories created by local artisans. Interior designers BAMO have created sophisticated spaces defined by marble flooring, artisan plaster walls, and intricately designed hand-made colorful tiles.
Accommodations will feature an open concept with floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that open to ample private terraces. Ground-floor villas are fitted with private pools, while the upper-level villas have Jacuzzis. All residential Los Cabos villas are equipped with indoor-outdoor gourmet kitchens featuring Wolf and Subzero appliances, outdoor showers, and lush garden, pool or exquisite ocean views. Two three-bedroom Sky Villas will feature large private rooftop terraces with private pool, extended living area and bar. One six-bedroom villa will offer over 11,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor space, including 6.5 bathrooms, a private swimming pool, outdoor shower and views of the Sea of Cortez.
Among exceptional amenities at Chileno Bay Resort & Residences are three culinary concepts including the resort’s signature restaurant designed by Los Angeles-based Gulla Jonsdottir Architecture + Design, offering local, freshly caught seafood, raw bar and interactive ceviche bar. A beachside taco bar will offer specialty tequilas in an interactive casual setting at the edge of the beach, while a poolside grill will serve lighter fare for lunch. The residents of villas can still be part of the resort community, and can still benefit from the resort’s amenities.
A signature full-service spa will include 10 treatment rooms, a couples retreat room, a purification garden, a cool plunge pool, sauna and reflexology pool.
