The famous Austrian shipyard Frauscher redefines classical conventions of the 45 foot range with the $850,000 Frauscher 1414 Demon Yacht. The new boat oozes class with her blade-like, twin-stepped hull and beautifully sleek body. Designed by KISKA the Frauscher 1414 Demon features signature for Frauscher’s yachts flat bow with vertical stem, a tinted and frameless windscreen and a low profile that reminds that of a sports car. The yacht was unveiled at the 2016 Düsseldorf boat show last January while first test drives took place in fall 2016 in the Mediterranean.
The 1414 Demon is the new flagship of Frauscher’s fleet, and sets the tone for the next masterpieces in its segment. The luxury yacht designer Harry Miesbauer has created an economic hull with the typical vertical bow, a deep V hull and a twin step design, all of which allows for impressive speeds while maintaining a very smooth ride through waves. The carbon fibre side blades conceal the air intakes for the engines and the seating spaces are arranged in a spectacular geometric harmony and is juxtaposed to the teak floor.
The top speed with the twin Volvo Penta 400hp diesels is over 40 knots. Thanks to the perfectly laid out cockpit and the sterndrive configuration, navigating of the vessel leaves the feeling of steering a much smaller boat. Optional bow thrusters and joystick operation come in handy when docking in tight spaces while the generous 1.200 liter fuel tank enables a long range of operation.
Spacious enough to cruise up to 12 people, the Frauscher 1414 Demon Yacht features an asymmetric layout with a bathroom, kitchenette, large seating area which can be converted to a generous sleeping accommodation and a master cabin in the center of the boat with enough locker room for longer trips.
The lounge atmosphere of the cockpit area features a well garnished outdoor bar with a Teppan Yaki grill, ice maker, fridge and sink as well as a retractable Bimini sun shade which combines with a big sunpad and a large bathing platform for a perfect living space on a beautiful day.
