W Hotels Worldwide welcomes guests in its first hotel in the United Arab Emirates, W Dubai Al Habtoor City. The opening of the property marks the W brand’s second outpost in the Middle East, following the debut of W Doha in 2009.
W Dubai Al Habtoor City is set within the Emirate’s inaugural fully-integrated urban resort and overlooks the newly built Dubai Water Canal with vista of dramatic sunsets over the Arabian Gulf. It features 356 guest rooms spanning over 33 stories, as well as six meeting spaces, the largest of which is the oval-shaped Great Room, which totals 7,804 square feet. Inspired by the city’s connectivity and gateway location, the design of the rooms is futuristic and the signature Extreme Wow Suite and Sensational Suite were designed by Singapore-based firm Silverfox Studios and Starwood’s award-winning design team.
Other property highlights include the 30th-floor W Lounge, which serves as the hotel’s lobby; its two onsite restaurants, Japanese-Korean fusion spot Namu and Mediterranean eatern Level Seven; and the WET Deck, which features outdoor pools, private cabanas, and a nightclub. Destination restaurant Namu offers a mix of Japanese and Korean food served in a futuristic setting with asymmetrical furnishings. Level Seven, a causal and sociable hotspot, serves fresh Mediterranean cuisine from a theatrical open kitchen and features a chef’s table, and crudo bar. Adorned with wood, steel and vintage art, the natural Mediterranean-inspired décor sets the tone for a relaxing and delectable meal.
