Ahead of the holiday season, Robert Dallet lends his iconic Équateur Tatouage motif for Hermès to the Simple Tour leather strap of the new edition Hermès Apple Watch. The new Hermès Apple Watch is available in brand’s stores, with the Equateur Tatouage print on a black leather strap, which is the first printed Apple Watch strap for the house.
The handcrafted band is designed to be worn with any of the Hermès and Apple-designed watch faces based on the iconic Clipper, Cape Cod, and Espace Hermès styles. The band is garnished with refined strap that showcases a jungle scenes with birds and animals unfolding against a black background. Priced at $445, the band is similar to the Single Tour that Hermés has offered for several months and features the same design that’s been previously used by Hermès on other products.
The works of French wildlife artist Robert Dallet have graced Hermès accessories for over 30 years. The iconic prints are adorned with myriad wild animals in their natural habitat, depicted in Dallet’s impeccable charcoal and gouache renderings.
The Hermès Équateur tatouage motif has been featured across a variety of Hermès collections over the years, including on re-editions of the scarf and in homewear designs such as plates and cushions. It also features on the footwear collection from the house’s current fall 2016 rtw collection under creative director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski.
