LOUIS XIII has opened the door to the first LOUIS XIII Boutique in the world on September 20th 2016 at Beijing SKP, the upscale shopping mall. With a Salon and a Boutique, LOUIS XIII takes brand connoisseurs far beyond cognac to offer them a wave of sensations, emotions and experiences.
It’s a big day for Louis XIII—and a big day for the world of wine and spirits, as well as luxury brands in general. It’s a worldwide premiere. Everyone will see what Louis XIII is doing in the world of wine and spirits, and even beyond that. Today, Louis XIII does not simply belong in the Cognac category. It’s a lifestyle luxury brand. In the luxury industry, everyone wants a boutique. But nobody in wine and spirits has done it before. We wanted one a long time ago and it was really in our hearts. We wanted to engage and have direct contact with our clients…because at the end of the day—when you work in wine and spirits—you do not sell directly. You do not know your client. With this boutique we’ll be able to interact with our clientele and better understand them—to deliver the best experience ever. – Ludovic du Plessis, the global executive director of Louis XIII Cognac
In pursuit for the most luxurious venue for its first boutique, the Maison has selected Beijing, a city of heritage and distinction and a place where Louis XIII would be naturally at home. By opening LOUIS XIII Boutique in Shin Kong Place, the cognac brand ensures that its clients are those who can afford authentic and quality products.
The three-part RDAI-designed boutique boasts the 132-square-meter of space and occupies the second floor of Beijing SKP. It includes a salon, a retail area, and the invitation-only “Eternity Room.” The salon greets the guests with a glass of Louis XIII while a retail area offers all variants of Louis XIII crystal decanters—from the miniature bottles to the Mathusalem. The invitation-only Eternity Room is reserved for loyal clients and can be used as a tasting room of sorts for previews of upcoming releases.
