The favorable location of the luxury boutique resort Milaidhoo Island Maldives, in the Baa Atoll region of the island, promises that its discerning guests can see and experience the absolute best of the Maldives. It all starts with a scenic 30-minute seaplane flight from the international airport. Everything at Milaidhoo has been custom made and made for comfort.
The resort features 50 villas: 30 spacious over-water villas that stand on stilts over the lagoon and 20 serene villas hidden among the tropical greenery on the beach. Designed by local architect Mohamed Shafeeq, all villas boast large private freshwater swimming pools and have been made using materials and fittings custom-made for Milaidhoo.
Milaidhoo Island Maldives has three restaurants and two bars. Its signature restaurant, Ba’theli, sits on stilts over the lagoon and offers a modern interpretation of “island influenced” cuisine. In a similar way, the island’s Serenity Spa is set on stilts over the lagoon, to allow guests to enjoy daily complimentary yoga and meditation classes on the custom-built pavilion, Its four treatment suites offer a range of natural, organic and safe products, including British-based Elemis and TheraNaka from Africa.
Milaidhoo takes pride in offering authentic and meaningful experiences like snorkeling with Santa for the holidays, followed by coffee tastings, latte art, a seminar about coffee, and lessons on how to make the perfect cup from former world champion barista Fritz Storm in January. In March, two Michelin-starred chef Tanja Grandits will host intimate dinners, cooking classes and more from the 4th to the 11th. Renowned for dishes that celebrate color, texture and spices, the internationally-renowned chef will also be available to book as a private chef in one’s villa.
Nightly rates start at $1,575 per night for two people in an over-water villa on half-board basis.
