Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Celebrates a Year of Triumph

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced its second highest ever annual sales result in the brand’s 113-year history, up 6% on its 2015 results. A total of 4,011 cars were delivered to customers in more than 50 countries, record results were achieved in several individual markets, including USA, Japan, UK and Germany and of course, the iconic marque has successfully launched new products Dawn, Wraith Black Badge and Ghost Black Badge.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars recorded its highest-ever sales in key global markets including the Americas (up 12%), Europe (up 28%) and Asia Pacific (up 5%). A number of individual markets also exceeded previous records, notably Japan (up 51%), Germany (up 30%), the UK – the marque’s home market – (up 26%), China (up 23%) and the USA (up 10%). The only major region where conditions remained difficult was the Middle East where consumer demand for all luxury goods was dampened by economic and political uncertainty.

We can’t forget that last year, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has completed the largest single commission in its history: a fleet of 30 Extended Wheelbase Phantoms exclusively designed and handcrafted for THE 13 hotel in Macau. In fact, every Phantom, Ghost, Wraith and Dawn produced in 2016 contained specially-commissioned and unique Bespoke design elements, reaffirming Rolls-Royce as the world’s only truly handcrafted luxury motor car.

The success of Rolls-Royce is based upon an intimate understanding of luxury customers’ requirements. This was echoed in the success of the marque’s Provenance (pre-owned) and Financial Services programmes which both enjoyed exceptional results in 2016. These tailored solutions reflect the way in which many of today’s patrons of luxury seek to invest in fine objects. Congratulations!!
