The Rupert Sanderson Champagne Slipper for 34 Mayfair, including six champage flutes paired with a bottle of Perrier-Jouët-Epoque Rosé is an ideal holiday gift for art admires and fine champagne connoisseurs. Available for purchase from the Rupert Sanderson store, 19 Bruton Place, London or 34 Mayfair restaurant, the set will set you back about $6,300.
The designer Rupert Sanderson, famous for creating shoes for actresses including Kate Winslet, Alicia Vikander and Gwyneth Paltrow, has partnered with the glamourous restaurant 34 Mayfair and Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé to create the Champagne Slipper. He is a regular visitor to 34 Mayfair, and was an obvious choice to partner with on their exciting glassware design, following the resounding success of last year’s 34 Mayfair Kate Moss Coupe.
The Rupert Sanderson Champagne Slipper is inspired by the Art Deco decor of the restaurant as well as icons of the era, including the Chrysler Building in New York. The mini sculpture is made of two parts: there is an arched sole, created from silver-plated brass and crystal glass, and doubles as an intricately detailed stand that supports the detachable champagne flute “stiletto heel”. The silver-plated shoe champagne glass is made in collaboration with silversmith and goldsmith Clive Burr.
