The highly anticipated Dream Hollywood opens at the corner of Selma Avenue and N. Cahuenga Boulevard, tucked among the scenic Hollywood Hills.
Designed by award-winning firm The Rockwell Group, Dream Hollywood features 178 playfully sophisticated guest rooms with subtle nods to the mid-century modern aesthetic iconic to Los Angeles, luxurious guest amenities such as complimentary Lincoln car service, and Tao Group’s opulent restaurants, including Tao, Beauty & Essex, and The Highlight Room, an 11,000 square feet rooftop pool, bar, lounge, and restaurant covered by a retractable roof enclosure.
The Dream Hollywood is a tribute to mid-century Modern architecture unique to Los Angeles, but with a Dream Hotels flair. Influenced by residences designed by John Lautner, Richard Neutra, and others, Rockwell Group crafted a contemporary framework for the lobby, guestrooms, and rooftop amenities.
Two color schemes dominate the guestrooms. Inspired by sky, water, and white houses against a desert backdrop, the first color palette includes blue, white, and other neutral tones accented with pops of orange, while the second palette looks from the inside out and draws upon the warmer hues of a sunset.
The bathroom and sleeping area are divided by a row of freestanding, patinated bronze shelving units that support the bathroom sink, a mirror, and mini bar. A custom wallcovering over the bed depicts an iconic image of the Los Angeles landscape in an abstracted form.
The gem of the hotel is the 1,800-square-foot Guest House suite, which houses a private screening room and 360-degree city views.
