The Westin Hamburg Has Arrived

Westin Hotels & Resorts has officially unveiled The Westin Hamburg, the brand’s sixth property throughout Germany, including in Frankfurt, Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig. The new hotel is set within the Elbphilharmonie. Currently under construction, the city’s new architectural landmark, the Elbphilharmonie is a concert hall that sits on top of an old warehouse building and is designed by Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron. When completed, it will be the tallest inhabited building of Hamburg, with a final height of 110 m.

Designed by acclaimed Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron with the interior design led by Berlin-based designers the Bost Group, The Westin Hamburg’s crisp brick and glass facade create a modern sense of arrival, while flooding the space with natural light. The Westin Hamburg is nestled in the Speicherstadt warehouse district that has just been designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel spans over 21 floors with floor-to-ceiling windows that boast panoramic views of the city and port. There are 205 well-appointed guestrooms and 39 expansive suites, including a top-floor owner’s suite extending over 160 square metres with a private balcony.

The Westin Hamburg features distinct culinary options serving both international and local cuisines, alongside the Westin brand’s nutrient-rich and delicious SuperFoodsRx menus. Under the helm of Chef Martin Kirchgasser, TheSaffron restaurant offers a refined fine-dining experience with Hanseatic influences in the dramatic surroundings of the Kaispeicher warehouse building. Overlooking the city’s HafenCity district and its waterways, the eighth-floor The Bridge Barprovides a relaxing social hub, while the bustling Plaza Foyer serves as an informal all-day dining option, serving invigorating juices and smoothies from Westin Fresh by The Juicery.

The Westin Hamburg offers an array of experiences to improve their guests health and well-being. Spread over 1,300 square metres, the state-of-the-art Elb Spa includes a WestinWORKOUT studio, a 20-metre indoor pool – one of the city’s largest, six therapy rooms and a range of thermal facilities. Guests can also participate in the renowned RunWESTIN program featuring specially created three- and five-mile running routes through the neighborhood for self-guided active exploration or guided by the hotel’s Run Concierge.
