Dior is paying tribute to one of the house’s emblematic perfumes with the reworked packaging of Miss Dior Edition d’Exception
It was in 1947 when an outstanding French designer Christian Dior presented his signature fragrance or “a perfume that smells of love” titled Miss Dior. Its glass came engraved with a houndstooth motif, while its neck was sealed with a bow. Spring 2015 beholds an ultra-luxurious rebirth of the look of an iconic fragrance.
Back in 2013, paying homage to its legendary perfume Miss Dior, the house Dior released Miss Dior Le Parfum d’Exception Edition available in only 12 copies. In the spring of 2015, we have Miss Dior Edition d’Exception edition in 25 bottles. The packaging for has been changed to include an haute couture bow, a signature sign of the house of Dior. To create the 25 hand-made and decorated bows, the fashion brand used 5.5 meters of a high-quality lace. Each lace bow fixed around the fragrance’s cap and is decorated with a floral motif made by a technique similar to watercolor painting.
Miss Dior Edition d’Exception’s bottle, topped with a stopper in hand-cut and polished glass, is housed in an opulent coffret. It contains the high-grade composition that is Miss Dior Le Parfum , a concentration of the finest raw materials, created by François Demachy, the house’s exclusive perfumer-creator. Essence of Indonesian patchouli and Damask rose absolute unite in a bold and feminine fragrance, an echo of the haute couture adornment that wraps it. Miss Dior Edition d’Exception is available as 200 ml Eau de Parfum with one bottle counting for $1,955.
