Columbus Yachts presents the pinnacle of its Atlantique range – Columbus Atlantique 65 – the remarkable 65-metre superyacht. A seamless blend of harmonious design and groundbreaking innovation, this new flagship has set sail to redefine opulence and sophistication on the open seas.
The Atlantique line, renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship and design, now offers a stunning collection of yachts in various sizes, including the 37m, 43m, 47m, and 55m versions. Notably, there are two 43m models and one 47m model currently in the process of production, showcasing the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries.
The Columbus Atlantique 65 is a testament to the power of incremental innovation, where constant refinement leads to a true instant classic. This new model embodies the essence of the Atlantique range, conveying a mature and fully realized expression of their philosophy.
Externally, the yacht captivates with its cohesive lines that seamlessly flow from stern to bow, creating polished and balanced surfaces. Meticulous attention to proportions ensures that every angle showcases perfectly harmonious solid and void areas.
One of the key innovations lies in the three-dimensional composition of the superyacht. Rather than constructing a flat profile and translating it into three dimensions, the design team sculpted an already smooth stone – a form inherently fluid and coherent. This meticulous approach results in surfaces that flow seamlessly into one another, avoiding the disjointed layers often seen in less thoughtful designs.
Interior innovation mirrors the exterior’s ethos, with a layout that optimally utilizes every available space. The aft Pool Terrace stands as a prime example – an infinity pool on a deck that defies categorization, offering a unique vantage point. This elevated terrace hosts the entrance to the aft beach club, a pool space with unobstructed views, and a private outdoor haven on the main deck.
Further genius unfolds in the bow’s design, where layout and exterior converge in perfect harmony. The decision to maintain an overall low profile and develop a three-deck closed layout results in a unique semi-duplex owner’s cabin. This layout comprises a luxurious main compartment and an adjacent section featuring a bathroom and elevated sitting area. The owner’s suite is further distinguished by soaring ceilings, abundant skylights, and even private access to the bow Jacuzzi.
Accommodating up to 12 guests in 4 VIP cabins below deck, with the owner’s cabin on the main deck and an additional VIP cabin on the upper deck, the Atlantique 65 is a haven of luxury. The crew is well-catered to, with 16 crew members benefiting from 10 spacious cabins.
Powered by twin MTU 12V4000M63 engines, each boasting 1500kW, the yacht reaches a top speed of 17.5 knots, cruises comfortably at 14 knots, and boasts an impressive range of 5500 miles at 11 knots.
