Milan-based studio, Hot Lab, part of the Sweden-based Viken Group, unveils the latest addition to its impressive portfolio: the 50-meter Bilgin 163 superyacht, known as the Eternal Spark. Set to make its industry debut at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show 2023, this remarkable vessel promises to redefine modern maritime styling and captivate enthusiasts worldwide.
The Eternal Spark is a product of visionary collaboration between Hot Lab and Bilgin Yachts, based in Turkey. Facilitated by Matija Longin from SuperYachts Croatia and Berkay Yilmaz, Commercial Director of Bilgin Yachts, the sale of this masterpiece was completed in 2022. Currently nearing completion, the superyacht is an epitome of sophisticated design, featuring both exterior design and naval architecture by Unique Yacht Design, with a luxurious Hot Lab interior.
What sets the Eternal Spark apart is its intelligent use of natural light. Hot Lab’s designers have ingeniously incorporated a broad staircase that carries light from the sundeck down to the lower deck, creating a stunning effect further enhanced by strategically placed mirrored strips. Enrico Lumini, Partner and Head of Design at Hot Lab, explains that the yacht’s skylight allows beautiful reflections of light from the sundeck pool, establishing a stronger connection with the surrounding ocean environment.
Step inside the Eternal Spark, and you’ll find yourself immersed in a world of style and comfort. The yacht boasts six spacious staterooms, each uniquely designed with more than 60 natural finishes, including 14 different marbles. Lumini emphasizes the yacht’s fresh and sunny atmosphere, akin to a villa on the Côte d’Azur. The interior design ensures a vibrant yet tasteful ambiance, creating an inviting space for guests.
Eternal Spark has been meticulously designed to host memorable gatherings. With four decks, five separate bars, and seven distinct socializing areas, the yacht can comfortably accommodate more than 100 people for events and parties. Additionally, it offers ample storage for water toys, gymnasium equipment, and a custom-built chase boat. The onboard amenities include both indoor and outdoor cinemas, providing endless entertainment possibilities.
Beyond its exquisite design and lavish interiors, the Bilgin 163 Eternal Spark is a high-performing superyacht. Powered by twin 1,450 CAT engines, it can achieve a top speed of 16.5 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots, and a remarkable range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles. This exceptional combination of power and efficiency ensures an unparalleled experience for voyagers.
The creation of the Eternal Spark aligns perfectly with the philosophy of “Architecture for Voyagers” by Hot Lab and the Viken Group. Antonio Romano, Commercial Director of The Viken Group and co-founder of Hot Lab, emphasizes the emphasis on clean architectural volumes and soft lines. The design reflects a concept of “plastic minimalism,” embracing the luxury of craftsmanship and carefully selected precious materials. This focus on detail sets the studio apart and has contributed to its growth and success.
As Hot Lab continues to impress with its remarkable designs and recent move under the umbrella of the Viken Group, the debut of the Eternal Spark at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023 represents an opportunity to showcase the studio’s capabilities on a global stage. Hot Lab’s dedication to the region is evident, and they look forward to further collaborations in Turkey, a place they’ve passionately worked in for over a decade.
The Bilgin 163 Eternal Spark undoubtedly represents a new standard in superyacht design, where innovation, luxury, and thoughtful craftsmanship converge. As it prepares to set sail and grace the seas with its presence, the superyacht promises to leave an everlasting spark in the hearts of all who have the privilege of experiencing its splendor.
