The automotive world is changing, and diesel/petrol vehicles are slowly being replaced by electric cars due to their many benefits. Electric vehicles have revolutionised the automotive industry by allowing drivers to reduce their carbon footprint without hampering performance or the latest technological features.
As their popularity grows, so does the range of EVs available to lease. From family-friendly SUVs and sleek sportscars to compact hatchbacks and work-friendly vans, an electric car suits every kind of driver nowadays. But what if you have more refined tastes and would like to travel with more flair?
Fortunately, premium manufacturers such as Tesla, BMW, Audi, and Porsche already have multiple EV models on sale, while Bentley, Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin are in the middle of developing zero-emission models too. But while we await the arrival of the all-electric Range Rover, it doesn’t mean there aren’t other luxury EVs to fill the void! We list some of the most luxe EVs to lease below:
Mini Electric
When we think of glitz, glamour and luxe regarding cars – the kind of stuff that looks like it’s been snatched right out of an episode of Top Gear – a few luxury manufacturers spring to mind, but Mini Cooper isn’t often one of them. However, proving that it’s not all about sleek saloons and cute convertibles, the Mini Electric provides that luxe supercar feeling in a condensed package.
Rivalled by similar cars like the Fiat 500 and Honda E (also available in electric models), the Mini Electric boasts quintessential British elegance with its leather interior, two-door accessibility, and ample boot. Popularised by its iconic design, easy parking capabilities, compactness, and exceptional safety features – the Mini Electric has something to please all drivers.
Although not the most luxurious EV to pick if you have a large family or intend to carry much luggage around, if you’re familiar with Mini, you’ll find that it’s no different to previous models – a familiarity most Mini Copper fans adore. So, if you air on the side of luxe but love simplicity, the Mini Electric is the hatchback of your dreams.
Tesla Model 3 Saloon
Suppose you have your eyes set on something more extravagant than a hatchback. In that case, the Tesla Model 3 Saloon is perfect if you want an EV that has excellent performance, ultra-modern design, state-of-the-art tech accessories and above all else – an unmistakable ‘wow’ factor.
Despite being one of the cheapest models in Tesla’s range, don’t let its price cause you to question its luxuriousness; despite hundreds of other EV competitors, Tesla’s Model 3 Saloon gives various supercars a run (or drive?) for their money.
While it looks small, the Model 3 Saloon can comfortably seat four persons, and due to its high-quality interior, it doesn’t feel uncomfortable when travelling with others; plus, with its speed, you’re highly unlikely to be journeying in it for long anyway!
However, due to its state-of-the-art tech features, many drivers are put off buying the Model 3 Saloon outright for fear that it’ll be too complicated to adjust to. Fortunately, due to its popularity, it is widely available for rental through providers.
Perfect for those who want to test drive luxe EVs without the commitment, consider heading to www.lvelectrix.co.uk to learn more about the Tesla Model 3 Saloon and the other EVs they have for lease. Or contact them directly for specific inquiries.
Porsche Taycan
Despite being heralded as one of the most luxurious car manufacturers worldwide, Porsche has only made one contribution to the electronic vehicle world, the Porsche Taycan, which has quickly taken spots in the lists of the best EVs of all time.
Although the Taycan is the first out of Porsche’s (hopefully many!) future EV offerings, interested buyers can purchase the vehicle in one of three styles, each more luxe than the other – saloon, cross turismo, and sport Turismo estate.
Not only this, but there are multiple versions to choose from. Are you more suited to the four-wheel drive 4S for everyday driving? Or do you fancy yourself a bit of an adrenaline junkie and feel tempted by the Turbo S, which can reach speeds of 0-62mph in a breathtaking (literally!) 2.8 seconds?
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of handling a Porsche before, you’ll be pleased to learn the Taycan runs just as smoothly as any other model, and depending on the model you opt for, its mile range will be in-between two-hundred and fifty-four and three-hundred and one mile.
Other notable features of the Taycan include powerful engines, an eight-inch digital instrument panel, pairing with Apple/Android products, excellent fuel performance, spacious seating (with an option to add plus one seat if needed), and an impressive rapid charge battery which can be filled in as little as five hours.
