Ferrari disclosed its special “tailor made” California T that will be presented at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2015
Ferrari
The English Festival of Speed in Goodwood will witness a one-of-a-kind Ferrari California T customized by the company’s bespoke division, Tailor Made. Though not technically an international auto show, the Festival of Speed attracts almost as much attention from the automotive world at this point. Ferrari will flaunt its California T model, coming with a Bianco Italia paint finish on its body and the double-asymmetric Blu Hellen stripe. The interior design is wearing a Blu Sterling finish and it has the Bianco elements and some carbon fibr trim.
The highly-personalized right-hand drive Ferrari California T sports 20-inch forged wheels painted in Blu Hellen and Argento Nurburgring, all paying homage to “the passion and colors of polo and horse racing,” commemorating Ferrari’s signature prancing horse.
Powered by a 552-hp, 3.9-liter V-8 mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch auto, the California T can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from standstill in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 196mph (316 km/h). The car was introduced back in early 2014 with its innovative traction control system that comes out of its F1 program giving it optimal acceleration coming out of corners. California T’s carbon-ceramic brakes, coupled with ABS and ESP technology insure quick braking. It takes only 14 seconds for the retractable roof to turn the bespoke vehicle into a convertible.
The interior of Ferrari California T is made of a new high-tech material, called the Mycro Prestige. Only available in Ferraris, it is highly resistant, porous, breathable and flameproof material offering a lot of grip and weighing one-third the weight of the leather.
The Festival of Speed is taking place place in Goodwood, England, June 25-28. For more details, go to goodwood.co.uk.
