Amels announced the sale of a 60-metre AMELS 200 superyacht from its Limited Editions range. The yacht is now under construction for fast delivery in spring 2021. The yacht’s exterior design is created by Tim Heywood, while the unique interior design is by Reymond Langton. The client was represented by Burgess in the sale.
The design of the yacht shares the same naval architecture, high volume and hybrid electrical power technology as its predecessor the AMELS 188. Both yacht feature the four-deck elevator and air-conditioned gym on Sun Deck. However, the elongated AMELS 200 boasts larger aft decks and Swim Platform and full-height windows in the Owners Suite. Sun Deck Sky Lounge can be accessed by four-deck elevator and central staircase, plus there is a private VIP Suite on Bridge Deck.
The AMELS 200 is inspired, like all my work, by nature. The design echoes a cruising swan ruffling her feathers. The sweeping profile lines are enhanced by the twists in the surfaces, which give her an enriched and interesting form with light and shade effects to each deck level. – Tim Heywood
The new AMELS 200 name reflects not only her extra length, but also Amel’s ongoing commitment to design that has made our Limited Editions range so successful. Following this sale, the next available yacht is already in build for fast delivery, along with several other yachts in the AMELS Limited Editions range.
Built in accordance with the IMO Tier III emissions regulations, the superyacht complies to some of the strictest requirements set by the International Maritime Association. With a cruising speed of 15.5 knots, she will be able to cover a range of 4,500 nm at an economical speed of 13 knots.
