Audemars Piguet revealed its first 34 mm Royal Oak Selfwinding model crafted entirely in pristine white ceramic. This exquisite timepiece not only captivates with its immaculate aesthetics but also showcases Audemars Piguet’s commitment to precision craftsmanship.
Faithful to the black ceramic model introduced in 2021, the white ceramic variant sets itself apart with a lustrous white hue complemented by touches of opulent pink gold. This harmonious contrast is evident in the screws, hands, hour-markers, caseback, and oscillating weight. Reserved exclusively for Audemars Piguet boutiques, this refined and lightweight reference is tailored to grace slimmer wrists, offering a perfect blend of style and comfort.
Building on the design evolution introduced in 2022 for the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary, the dial features a Grand Tapisserie motif that exudes a refined glow. Pink gold details on luminescent hour-markers, hands, and the applied Audemars Piguet signature add a touch of luxury and sophistication. The dial becomes a canvas of craftsmanship, with a shimmering elegance that reflects Audemars Piguet’s dedication to excellence.
The meticulous attention to detail extends to every facet of the timepiece. Pink gold accents surround the sapphire caseback, offering a glimpse of the mesmerizing pink gold oscillating weight. In contrast, the steel folding clasp boasts a striking black color achieved through a DLC treatment, surpassing the hardness of black ceramic. The case and bracelet showcase Audemars Piguet’s technical prowess, featuring satin-finishing and polished chamfers in their distinctive alternation.
The brilliance of the white ceramic is accentuated by eight hexagonal screws, each meticulously crafted in 18-carat pink gold. These screws not only secure the bezel to the case but also add a subtle yet striking color detail. The ceramic bracelet, in line with new aesthetic codes, features invisible pins directly integrated into the studs, seamlessly connecting the links.
The selfwinding Calibre 5800, designed specifically for the 34 mm Royal Oak collection unveiled in 2020, powers this remarkable timepiece. With a 50-hour power reserve and water resistance to 50 meters, the Calibre 5800 combines precision with reliability. The sapphire caseback offers a glimpse into the intricate components of the mechanism, featuring a dedicated 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight and high-end decorations such as Côtes de Genève, circular graining, satin, and sunray finishes.
