Bentley Motors unveiled its Flying Spur Hybrid for the first time in Europe at the 2022 Autoworld Museum Brussels. The Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid marks an important model for Belgium and Europe where demand for electrified products has been growing during 2021.
The new Flying Spur Hybrid is Bentley’s first electrified sedan and the most environmentally friendly Bentley to date. The car combines the internal combustion engine and electric motor, enabling progressive stability regardless of the driving characteristics demanded by the driver. The new powertrain features a 2.9-liter V6 petrol engine with an advanced electric motor, delivering a total of 544 PS (536 bhp) and 750 Nm (553 lb.ft) of torque – an additional 95 PS in comparison to the Bentayga Hybrid. The new Flying Spur becomes the most efficient Bentley ever, having the capability to conquer over 700 km when fully fuelled.
Over 40 exceptional cars from the history of the automotive industry were on display at the 2022 Autoworld Museum Brussels. Among these were the Flying Spur V8, the Continental GT Speed Convertible and the Bentley Continental GT3-R. The selection of Bentley models showcases the strongest product portfolio in the history of the brand.
Making the European public reveal of the Flying Spur Hybrid and having already introduced the Bentayga Hybrid marks an important step in the Beyond100 strategy. This strategy is expected to result in Bentley becoming a fully end-to-end carbon neutral brand by 2030. On its journey, it will see the entire Bentley range having an electrified drivetrain option by 2024 and the brand’s first BEV in 2025.
