The Danish manufacturer Bang & Olufsen has always something to impress its grateful audience. But this time, the brand has exceed our expectations. The BeoLab 90 is the perfect beautiful loudspeaker with 360-degree acoustics. The striking design is built from more than 65kg of aluminium and promises to be the “most complete and powerful digital loudspeaker” ever built for the home. Besides its obvious good looks, each BeoLab 90 packs in 18 speaker drivers, as well as 14 channels of the latest generation ICEpower amplifiers and four Class D amps. According to Bang & Olufsen, those amps can crank out up to 8,200 watts per speaker.
The design studio Frackenpohl Poulheim has equipped the BeoLab 90 loudspeaker with 18 drivers placed in carefully defined locations and directions to deliver maximum performance in frequency time and space. The luxurious speaker packs a combination of 14 channels of the latest generation amplifiers that deliver up to 8200 watts. Aspired to change the future of the sound, BeoLab 90 automatically measures the acoustical effects of the room it’s in and the objects within that room and can be adjusted to send sound precisely where you want it to.
To support the idea that a form follows function, the 360-degree BeoLab 90 sits on a 65 kg aluminum cabinet with a curved wooden base, making it appear as if there is no visual front for the speakers. With its outer skin made of acoustically transparent fabric stretched in front of the driver units, the loudspeaker is able to fit into the decor of most every home, and can act as a visual centerpiece for any room.
