Beosound A9 5th Generation and Beosound 2 3rd Generation join Bang & Olufsen‘s range of future-proof products on the celebrated Mozart software platform. The platform features the replaceable module which is frontloaded with enough processing power to receive software updates and features for many years to come. If the connectivity and streaming technology ever becomes outdated, the module can be replaced with the latest version.
Originally launched in 2012, Beosound A9 with its circular-shaped design created by Oivind Slaatto, is still one of the most popular products. The 5th generation of Beosound A9 includes the original features and some detailed improvements. There are a new set of standard finishes, Black Anthracite, Gold Tone and Natural Aluminum. The back covers of the new standard finishes compliment the front covers seamlessly, as do the oak legs and aluminum hardware finishes, for the best overall design aesthetic to date. Alongside the new standard finishes of Beosound A9, this speaker can be fully customizable to compliment even the most eclectic room aesthetic.
Beosound A9 allows for the music volume to be controlled by sliding your hand across its surface, and with a simple tap on the A9 you can skip, play, or pause a listening experience instantly. Adding the Mozart software module to Beosound A9 means that the 5th generation is also built for the future, with better connectivity, compatibility and new capabilities being added for years to come.
Beosound 2 is a powerful multiroom speaker that matches a unique high-design aesthetic with impressive sound. Originally launched in 2016 and now in its third iteration, Beosound 2 has been transported into the new generation of Bang & Olufsen sound whilst remaining iconic. Crafted from high-grade aluminum, the cone shape of Beosound 2 attracts attention no matter where it’s placed in the room.
One of the major updates to Beosound 2 is the introduction of Mozart, ensuring the exterior craftsmanship and software longevity last for years to follow in equal measure, and that the speaker seamlessly integrates into any luxurious multiroom system. A striking new finish, Black Anthracite, joins the classic line up of Gold Tone and Natural. This new finish is matched with an improved user interface, and the addition of Active Room Compensation. The latter allows Beosound 2 to detect its position in any space and distribute sound accordingly to provide the optimum listening experience.
