When it comes to the world of superyachts, innovation is the name of the game. Enter B120, the latest addition to the family of full-displacement explorer superyachts by Bering Yachts. This exceptional vessel represents a paradigm shift in design and engineering, setting new standards for space, flexibility, and luxury on the high seas.
B120 stretches an impressive 37.1 meters in length and boasts an expansive 8.9-meter beam. This generous beam allows designers and naval architects the freedom to explore a plethora of configurations, ensuring that each B120 is a bespoke masterpiece tailored to its owner’s desires.
According to Alexey Mikhailov, the Founder of Bering Yachts, “While designing this boat, we have received plenty of feedback from our customers, and we tried to execute their suggestions in B120.” This commitment to customer feedback has led to remarkable features, including a private deck exclusively accessible to the owners and an innovative beach club.
What sets the new Bering yacht apart is its innovative approach to the beach club. Unlike most yachts in its class, there’s no need to descend to reach the beach club. Instead, it seamlessly blends with the swimming platform, raising the beach club by 70 centimeters, making it more functional and accessible.
The B120 caters to a variety of lifestyles. For those interested in Bering’s buy-to-charter program, this superyacht offers a multitude of options, thanks to its wide-beam displacement hull. Imagine a layout with six identical cabins, with four on the main deck and two on the lower deck, providing luxurious accommodations for charter guests.
Whether you crave secluded areas for privacy or spacious relaxation zones for water activities and sunbathing, B120 delivers. With its current design, the yacht can comfortably accommodate 12 guests and 9 crew members over its four decks, ensuring everyone enjoys all the necessary amenities.
The new superyacht doesn’t just look impressive; it performs impressively too. With 437 tons of displacement, twin diesel engines power her to a cruising speed of 10-12 knots and a maximum speed of 14 knots. With a tank capacity of 54,100 liters, the B120 boasts a range of over 4,000 nautical miles, ensuring you can explore the world’s oceans in style and comfort.
B120 is not just the result of Bering Yachts’ expertise. It’s a collaborative masterpiece, designed in partnership with Sabdes Design and Phathom Design Studio. This project marks Phathom Studio’s first-ever design collaboration with Bering Yachts, and the result is a flexible, charter-friendly explorer that offers big-boat amenities in a sub-500-GT package.
Phathom aimed to create a dynamic and aesthetically balanced exterior. Careful consideration was given to the vessel’s proportion, reducing the superstructure’s height in comparison to its length, a deliberate move to prevent that towering feel that often plagues yachts in this size segment. The result is an elegant and timeless exterior that is sure to stand the test of time.
The interior design, crafted by Phathom, embodies a soft and seamless visual language. Light and creamy tones blend harmoniously with dramatic color usage, textures, and metallic accents, all bathed in an abundance of natural light. The layout is as flexible as it is functional, appealing to both charter and owner usage, featuring innovative spaces and amenities that are unparalleled in vessels of this size.
