Blackened American Whiskey, the award-winning American whiskey brand from late Master Distiller Dave Pickerell and American heavy metal band Metallica, celebrate The Black Album with a special release.
The pack includes a collectible whiskey coin, the Snakebyte Cocktail Booklet, a recipe book that features riffs off the classic whiskey Snake Bite drink from some of today’s rock star bartenders from across the country, and named after James Hetfield’s Signature ESP Snakebyte Guitar and a bottle of Blackened’s Batch 114, sonically enhanced by the album itself.
So many things changed for us externally after The Black Album release. The perception of the importance of Metallica changed greatly. Obviously with songs like ‘Sandman’, ‘Unforgiven’, ‘Nothing Else Matters’, becoming embraced by a lot of the world, we became a household name. It changed our lives and hopefully helped the world connect. – James Hetfield
Using the proprietary BLACK NOISE® finishing process, Batch 114 was blasted with all 12 songs from The Black Album. A standard finishing practice for Blackened, the black brandy casks are hit by low-frequency sound waves forcing the whiskey to penetrate deeper into the barrel, extracting more caramel, honey, and vanilla flavors from the wood. The whiskey’s finish is long and smooth, slightly creamy with hints of butterscotch taffy, maple, and honey.
The Black Album collector’s pack is available for order online and at select retailers in the US.
