Bose introduces the new QuietComfort 45 headphones that offer improved noise cancellation, a new AWARE Mode, better voice isolation for easier conversations, and 24-hour battery life on a single charge. Replacing the legendary QuietComfort 35 II, the new headphones boast incredible audio performance, all-day comfort and stability, simple controls, rock-solid connectivity, and an update to the iconic design.
A new active noise cancellation system and new electronics package allow the QuietComfort 45 headphones to have just two settings. In QUIET Mode, microphones inside and outside the earcups combine with a proprietary digital chip to sense, measure and respond to more unwanted sounds in mid-range frequencies. In AWARE Mode, the headphones switch to full transparency, where everything is heard again. For phone calls and commands, users can share their noise cancellations. A beam-form array isolates their voice, while a rejection array blocks the audible distractions around them.
The new headphones preserve the iconic look of their predecessors, however, pleats and puckers have been removed from soft materials, gaps between components have been replaced with smooth transitions. The QuietComfort 45 fold flat to be housed in an included compact carrying case. The headphones are available in Triple Black and White Smoke colors with a beautiful matte finish.
The right earcup features four buttons – volume up, volume down, power, and Bluetooth® pairing, and one for the most common tasks – to answer and end calls, play and pause music, and access native VPAs. There’s another button on the left earcup to toggle between Modes and to mute the mic during calls. They boast up to 24 hours of battery life and can be charged via USB-C®.
The QuietComfort 45 headphones will be available starting September 23rd for $329.95, and pre-orders have already commenced at Bose.com and select resellers.
