Cambridge Beaches is an authentic Bermudian cottage-style resort that has been completely reimagined to offer a new refined perspective. Conceived by lead creator, Phil Hospod and Dovetail + Co, with interior design by Soho House alum Kellyann Hee, the expansive property is an experiential destination that offers 86 guest rooms, four private beaches, two private coves, an infinity-edged swimming pool, a full-service spa, recreational sport areas and an onsite watersport rentals pavilion making it an idyllic retreat in Bermuda.
Originally opened in 1923, Cambridge Beaches is set on a 23-acre peninsula surrounded by ocean and bay waters. The hotel is the first of its kind on the island as it is made up of unique, freestanding cottages positioned along the coast. Preserving existing architectural details dating back to the 17th century, the restyled cottages provide fresh yet timeless spaces that offer a sense of tropical whimsy where floral prints and vibrant paint colors are met with curated collections of bespoke furniture and contemporary modern art by Bermudian artists. All 86 guest rooms are set in cottages with expansive outdoor patios and panoramic water views.
The property offers a few dining experiences curated by longtime Executive Chef Keith DeShields.
Breezes is an alfresco restaurant that serves elevated island cuisine. Pastel is a casual poolside restaurant, while Sunken Harbor Club is an immersive cocktail bar by the award-winning mixologist and restaurateur St. John Frizell of Sunken Harbor Club in Brooklyn. Each venue is accessible by land and sea.
