This October is National Arts & Humanities month and Hotel Zena, a boutique hotel in Washington D.C, is celebrating with a fun line-up of programming and a special package. The largest annual celebration for the arts coincides with the hotel’s first anniversary.
Established in 1993, National Arts & Humanities month encourages Americans to explore new facets of the arts and humanities in their lives. The nation’s largest collective annual celebration of the arts provides an opportunity for federal, state and local business, government and civic leaders to declare their support for the various branches of creative activity.
Hotel Zena is the cultural hub celebrating female empowerment through provocative art and design. Its Go All Out Package includes a two-night stay in a Zena City View Two Queen suite. Guests will enjoy Art of the Cocktail, a private cocktail session, with the head mixologist, and a walking tour with a Tour of Her Own (D.C.’s first female-led tour company). Hotel Zena will loan them a Polaroid camera to document the memories.
People who follow @hotelzena and @lakshsarkar on Instagram in October will be entered to win a one-of-a-kind hand-sketched digital portrait of themselves by emerging DC artist Lakshmi Sakar.
Figleaf, the hotel’s bar offers two new cocktails: Kusama Cosmo and Che’s Love – which take a cue from the two famous female artists. Guests who take a photo of the cocktail and tag @hotelzena and @figleafdc on Instagram will receive a complimentary shot of something sweet.
