Celebrate National Margarita Day with Fiesta-Worthy Margaritas

National Margarita Day (February 22) is coming up and Tequila Cazadores offers to spice up our lives with festive sweet and sour cocktail recipes. Take a look at eight delicious margaritas, including classics and new riffs, so you have options to enjoy with friends this year.

Cocktails below are made using Tequila Cazadores‘ 100% Agave tequila from the highlands of Los Altos de Jalisco, and PATRÓN‘s tequila which is produced in Mexico from the “corazon” of the blue agave plant.

Perfect Pineapple Margarita

• 1.5 oz Patrón Silver
• .5 oz Citrónge Orange Liqueur
• 1 oz Pineapple juice
• .5 oz Lime juice
• Tajín rim
• Lime wedge for garnish

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until combined and chilled. Strain into a Tajín-rimmed rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Watermelon Basil Margarita

• 1.5 oz Patrón Reposado
• 1 oz Fresh watermelon juice or puree
• 1 oz Fresh lime juice
• 1 oz Agave nectar
• 3 Basil leaves or basil simple syrup
• Watermelon wedge or dehydrated lime wheel for garnish

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice to chill. Strain onto fresh ice in a double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a basil leaf and wedge of watermelon or dehydrated lime wheel.

High Roller Margarita

• 1 ½ oz Tequila Cazadores Extra Añejo
• ¾ oz Grand Marnier
• ¾ oz agave nectar
• 3 wedges lime
• 3 wedges lemon
• 1 wedge orange

In a cocktail shaker muddle limes, lemons and orange. Add the rest of the ingredients with ice, shake and serve up in a cocktail glass. Garnish with lime and orange peel.

CAZADORES Jalapeño Margarita

• 1.5 oz Tequila Cazadores Blanco
• 1/2 oz premium orange liqueur
• 1/2 oz light agave nectar
• 1 oz fresh lime juice
• 1 slice Jalapeño

Combine all ingredients with ice, shake and strain into a salted glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Blood Orange Margarita

• 1 ½ oz. Tequila Cazadores Blanco or Reposado
• 1 oz. agave nectar or simple syrup
• ¾ oz. Fresh lime juice
• ¾ oz. Perfect Puree Blood Orange concentrate

In a blender combine all the ingredients with a full scoop of ice, blend and serve in a 12 oz. glass. Garnish with a slice of orange, Manny Salt rim. *Manny’s Salt: Salt flavored with guajillo and pasilla chili peppers, hibiscus, sugar and lime.

1862 Margarita

• 1 1/2 oz Tequila Cazadores Blanco
• 1/2 oz ST-GERMAIN elderflower liqueur
• 1/2 oz agave nectar
• 3/4 oz fresh lime juice

Combine all the ingredients with ice. Shake and serve over the rocks in a 12 oz. bucket glass. Garnish with lime wheel.

CAZADORES Highland Margarita

• 2 oz Tequila Cazadores Blanco
• 4 oz Grapefruit Juice
• 1 oz fresh lime juice
• 1 oz light agave nectar

Combine all ingredients with ice, shake and strain into a salted glass filled with ice. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and a lime wheel

CAZADORES Margarita

• 1 1/2 oz Tequila Cazadores Blanco
• 1 oz Fresh lime juice
• 1/2 oz Light Agave Nectar
• 1/2 oz Premium Orange Liqueur

Combine all ingredients with ice, shake and strain into a salted glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
