The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old is a balanced single malt whisky. The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years Old single malt whisky matured for 18 years in both American and European sherry seasoned oak casks. To let your palate experience exceptional quality this World Whisky Day, we’ve selected our favorite Macallan cocktails below.
The Copper Old Fashioned
- 2 oz. Sherry Oak 18 Years Old
- 2 barspoons Honey
- 4 dashes Orange bitters
- Orange peel
Fill a glass with ice and add whisky. Stir in two bar spoons of honey, and bitters, and garnish with an orange peel.
Garden of Legacy
- 40ml The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old
- 30ml Pink Grapefruit juice
- 10ml Sugar syrup
- Pinch of sea salt
Combine all ingredients in a tall glass, and add ice. Top up with soda or tonic and garnish with a pink grapefruit wedge and garnish with a pink grapefruit wedge.
The Honeypot (Created by Erik Delanoy, Bartender)
- 2.0 oz The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old
- 3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1/2 oz Murray’s Chestnut Honey
- 1 Dash Angostura Bitters
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, add ice, shake until chilled, and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
The Macallan The Great Scott
- 2 oz The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old
- 0.5 oz Sweet vermouth
- 0.24 oz Honey
- 3 Dashes Angostura bitters
Combine all ingredients in a rocks glass, and add ice. Stir until chilled and garnish with an orange twist.
