Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing introduce a high-performance, automotive-inspired boat 50′ Marauder GT S
Cigarette Racing x Mercedes-AMG
The wave splitting 50′ Marauder GT S is the latest collaboration between joined forces of Cigarette Racing and Mercedes-AMG. The $1.2 million 50 Marauder GT S, which is based on the Mercedes-AMG GT S sports car, is powered by a pair of 1,550 HP V8 Mercury Racing engines.
Cigarette Racing claims it to be the most powerful production twin-engine performance boat on the market. Due to the boat’s lightweight construction and the aforementioned power with its 3,100 horsepower, the Cigarette Marauder can achieve an estimated top speed of more than 135 mph.
Reflecting the Mercedes-AMG GT S, the interior of the 50 feet Marauder GT S is handcrafted with marine-grade black Alcantara tones, while the exterior has a gloss black gel coat hull with matte black and Solarbeam Yellow accents. Mercedes head designer Gordon Wagener penned the exterior paint job and worked with Cigarette to design the cockpit trim, which would have seen him in familiar surroundings: Cigarette Racing owner Skip Braver is a long-time AMG customer, and the boat company based its bespoke department on the AMG Design Studio in Affalterbach.
The design of the vessel is inspired by the classic Cigarette Racing cockpit. The interior features five leather seats, carbon fiber trim and four high-resolution displays.
On board of the 50 Marauder GT S, the focus is on occupant interfacing and comfort, which includes a next-generation Garmin and Cigarette navigation and audio system, computerized controls, Bluetooth connectivity and four HD displays. To battle the wind noise at the top speeds, the concept vessel features a custom JL audio system.
Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing 50′ Marauder GT S Powerboat is already sold for $1.2 million.
