It is worth noting that the buyer has decided to maintain their anonymity.
The Colnago Gioiello Numero 1 stands as the most exquisite gem within the exclusive Gioiello bike line, a collection limited to just 50 meticulously crafted bicycles. Showcasing Colnago’s highly innovative C68 chassis, this exceptional piece is entirely manufactured in Italy, from the intricate weaving of the carbon tubes to the meticulous assembly of each component.
Elevating the concept of cycling artistry, the Colnago Gioiello Numero 1 transcends conventional boundaries to emerge as a premier bicycle designed to surpass all expectations in the world’s most rigorous cycling competitions, including the renowned Giro d’Italia and Tour de France.
Through a collaboration with an esteemed Italian goldsmith, this flagship bike has been adorned with delicate layers of gold leaf delicately applied to its entire frame. Each detail has been carefully crafted by skilled artisans, such as the Colnago pattern embellished in gold and the water bottle cage inspired by the elegant contours of the Trofeo Senza Fine, the iconic symbol and trophy of the Giro d’Italia. As a final touch of opulence, Colnago joined forces with a prestigious jeweler’s workshop to crown the top of the steering tube with a breathtaking 2.03-carat diamond.
Colnago has an illustrious legacy of excellence within the cycling universe. Since its inception in 1954, Colnago has amassed an impressive array of achievements, including 14 Grand Tours victories, an astounding 377 Grand Tour stage wins, triumphs in 37 Classic Monuments, 27 World Championships, and 18 Olympic Gold Medals. Notably, Colnago proudly sponsors the UAE Team Emirates, which features the exceptional talent of Tadej Pogačar, a two-time Tour de France champion.
