The Ferretti Group brand CRN has launched a new bespoke steel and aluminum yacht, Project C138, that will be delivered as M/Y RIO. During the special event that gathered all the expert professionals, technicians, and craftspeople who have contributed to the project, the 62-meter yacht entered the water for the first time.
Designed and built by CRN in close collaboration with design and architecture studio Omega Architects, who created the exterior concept, the yacht’s interiors were created by designers Pulina Exclusive Interiors. M/Y RIO was sold by Alex Heyes & David Westwood of TWW Yachts. The sporty vessel is characterized by flowing hull lines and a near-vertical bow. She features generous indoor and outdoor living areas; a wellness lounge and fitness area in the beach club; and the exclusive Owner’s deck.
At 62 meters long and 11.2 meters in the beam, this 4-deck superyacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in the Owner’s suite and the 5 guest suites that are comprised of 2 full-beam VIPs – one on the main deck forward, the other on the lower deck – and 3 suites on the lower deck – 2 doubles and a twin – served by an elevator to all decks.
Like all CRN pleasure yachts, the new 62-meter M/Y RIO is under construction in Ancona, Italy, at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard. The facility’s deep commitment to sustainability can be seen in reducing the environmental impact of the production processes. Important examples of this approach in action are the trigeneration and solar-power systems which have helped to cut the yard’s heat and power consumption, by 32% and 79% respectively.
