In the world of luxury superyachts, innovation, craftsmanship, and exclusivity are the keys to success. At CRN, these principles have culminated in the creation of a masterpiece: the M/Y 145 Project Thunderball. This remarkable vessel, measuring 70 meters in length and constructed from steel and aluminum, stands as a testament to bespoke design, meticulous engineering, and unparalleled handcraftsmanship.
The CRN M/Y 145 is a true embodiment of excellence, merging the design and build quality synonymous with the CRN shipyard with the expertise of Vripack, responsible for the external lines and naval architecture, and the creative genius of Nauta Design Studio, which contributed to the interior design and outdoor furniture.
The sale of this exceptional superyacht, brokered by Y.CO in August 2022, marked the beginning of an exciting journey. Y.CO has assumed a pivotal role, acting as the Owner’s representative and project management team, guiding the owner through every stage of construction, technical checks, inspections, and acceptance. Their comprehensive involvement also extends to on-site supervision and coordination of external contractors.
The CRN M/Y 145 boasts a classic and timeless design, perfectly capturing the owner’s vision for an elegant pleasure vessel designed for extended, contemplative cruises. With its traditional elongated bow, low profile, and sleek lines reminiscent of a sailboat, this superyacht exudes sophistication. The meticulous design considerations, including curved bilges and a smooth surface, ensure efficient cruising and effortless maneuverability. Notably, the owner’s passion for sailing will be indulged with the delivery of a smaller sailboat to accompany the mother yacht.
Spanning five decks, the CRN M/Y 145 offers a generous 70-meter length, an 11-meter beam, and a gross tonnage of 1,100. It can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests and boasts a crew of 15, ensuring a seamless and opulent experience for all on board.
The interior design concept of Project Thunderball, aptly named “Thunderball Interior Design,” transcends the confines of time and fashion. It reflects a profound connection to the sea, artfully weaving a tapestry of nautical heritage with a contemporary and refined aesthetic. This fusion of tradition and modernity results in a new pinnacle of yachting sophistication, where every detail tells a story of high-end craftsmanship and an unwavering love for the maritime world.
CRN remains steadfast in its commitment to sustainability. The M/Y 145 incorporates a peak shaving system, a testament to CRN’s dedication to enhancing energy efficiency and reducing fuel consumption. This forward-thinking approach aligns with the growing environmental consciousness within the luxury yacht industry.
Beyond the M/Y 145 Project Thunderball, Ferretti Group’s Superyacht Yard in Ancona continues to be a hive of activity. With an expansive 80,000-square-meter facility, it is currently in the process of crafting three full-custom CRN yachts: the 72-meter M/Y 139, the 67-meter M/Y 143, and the 85-meter M/Y 144. The shipyard is also constructing the first all-aluminum Custom Line Navetta 50, the aluminum Pershing 140#04, and the aluminum Riva Superyacht Division 54-meter. Furthermore, the Custom Line fiberglass range sees 27 yachts in various stages of construction, emphasizing Ferretti Group’s commitment to delivering exceptional vessels tailored to the unique desires of their owners and their project teams.
