Project Samba is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship and design prowess of the team involved. The vessel boasts a stunning aluminum tri-deck structure, measuring 35 meters in length and weighing 298 gross tons. This custom-built masterpiece is equipped with a range of luxurious features. Among them are five cabins, including an on-deck owner’s suite, providing unparalleled comfort and privacy. The inclusion of twin MAN engines with Tier 4 US emissions ensures an environmentally conscious approach to cruising. Project Samba’s amenities further extend to Zero Speed stabilizers, a sauna, and a complete beach club, allowing for an indulgent experience on board. Additionally, the yacht features a transformer pad on the swim platform, generous crew quarters with the captain’s suite located behind the pilothouse, and an engineer cabin aft. The combination of a fast displacement hull and MAN 1450 hp diesel engines enables Project Samba to achieve a top speed of 17 knots.
Noftsinger, the representative from Denison Yachting, embarked on a quest to find the perfect vessel for his client. He aimed to combine the quality associated with Northern European shipyards with the exquisite style often found in Italy or Turkey. The journey involved visiting multiple shipbuilders and exploring numerous yards to identify a shipyard capable of customizing a yacht of this caliber. Ultimately, the partnership with Van der Valk proved to be a perfect match, as Noftsinger’s clients were captivated by the yard’s attention to detail, family-owned atmosphere, and commitment to delivering their precise vision. Collaborating with Guido de Groot, a renowned master designer, further allowed for extensive customization, making the 12-month journey an unforgettable experience.
Head of Sales at Van der Valk, Yoeri Bijker, emphasized the exceptional features of Project Samba. The yacht’s proven hull design and naval architecture platform offer clients the choice between a full or fast displacement vessel. By utilizing efficient engineering packages and cutting files, Van der Valk achieves remarkable cost synergies while providing unparalleled freedom for clients to personalize their yachts. Every aspect, from the renderings to the final design, has been carefully curated, ensuring that Project Samba reflects the owner’s unique style and individuality.
With an estimated delivery date of June 2025, anticipation is high for the arrival of Project Samba. The yacht promises to captivate onlookers with its open-air upper salon, expansive aft deck space, and an array of thoughtfully designed amenities.
