Dior revealed the campaign for the Maria Grazia Chiuri-designed Dior autumn-winter 2022-2023 ready-to-wear collection. The line celebrates The Next Era, the fascinating Mariella Bettineschi work that served as the backdrop for the défilé. A gallery of female portraits borrowed from the history of painting serves the starting point for a reflection on the views that have conditioned women from yesterday to today.
Dior autumn-winter 2022-2023 campaign was photographed by Brigitte Niedermair. The models embody the experimental boldness of the collection amid a peaceful decor subtly evoking that of a cabinet of curiosities. From clothing to accessories, the creations transform the Dior legacy by blending aesthetics and technology. These images that symbolize power, strength and passion stand as an ode to Dior’s inventiveness, linking past, present and future.
The Bar jacket is garnished with technical inserts created in collaboration with Italian start-up D-Air lab, while reinterpretations of the Dior Bobby, Lady Dior and Lady D-Joy bags are elevated with the help of the ateliers’ virtuoso savoir-faire. The Lady D-Lite bag blends classic elegance with House modernity. Fully embroidered with a beige multicolor Dior Jardin d’Hiver motif, the creation offers a poetic and exotic interpretation of Mr. Dior’s wall tapestries. The front features a ‘CHRISTIAN DIOR PARIS’ signature while ‘D.I.O.R.’ charms in ruthenium-finish metal further enhance the silhouette. Fitted with a wide, reversible and removable embroidered shoulder strap, the medium Lady D-Lite bag can be carried by hand or worn crossbody. Maria Grazia Chiuri’s phone bag enriches the iconic Dior Book Tote line with an ideal example of the House’s savoir-faire. The style is embroidered with the hazelnut Toile de Jouy motif and is enhanced by the ‘CHRISTIAN DIOR PARIS’ signature on the front. The miniature bag can house a phone as well as small daily essentials.
