Dolce & Gabbana debuted a new accessory during its Milan Fashion Week runway show — fancy ornamented $8,000 headphones
Dolce & Gabbana
The Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana dedicated the recent autumn/winter 2015 show during Milan Fashion Week not only to the Italian matriarch, otherwise known as la mamma, but also to the music by taking the pleasure of listening to a new level. The luxurious Dolce & Gabbana headphones, made in collaboration with Frends have captured the world’s attention by their over- the – top embellished splendor.
These luxury headphones are ready to pre-order online now via American retailer Moda Operandi that specializes in preordering, looks straight from the runway through online designer trunk shows months before they are available anywhere else.
The crystal-encrusted Dolce & Gabbana headphones, custom-designed by audio brand Frends, are made of Nappa leather and covered in Swarvoski crystals and pearls. During Milan Fashion Week models were channeling jewel encrusted headphones with fur and the ones that look like crowns, but only two headphone designs are available for purchase: a bejewelled red-leather style and a green-leather version. The pricing ranges from $7,095 for the jeweled gear or up to $7,990 for the fur pair.
Initially, Dolce & Gabbana headphones were created to be a catwalk collaboration only, but tech brand Frends has confirmed that two of the original catwalk versions have officially landed on Moda Operandi and are ready to pre-order for expected delivery between July and October.
Although unconfirmed Dolce & Gabbana headphones might be the world’s most expensive earbuds and definitely the most ostentatious ones.
