Ferrari California T, the thriving front-engined V8 model with retractable hard top and 2+ seating configuration, is now available with the brand-new Handling Speciale (HS) option
Making its official debut at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show that starts March 3, 2016, the successful Ferrari California T is equipped with a new handling pack. Dubbed Handling Speciale, or HS for short, it offers a series of specific calibrations and a set-up that lends an extra edge, especially in the manettino’s Sport mode. The bespoke solution from Ferrari includes new damper settings and modified springs that make luxury vehicle stiffer.
Such upgrades like stiffer springs (+16 percent front and +19 percent rear), more responsive magnetic dampers, quicker gear shifts, and revised traction and stability control, ensure better acceleration when Ferrari California T Handling Speciale exits corners and gets on more bumpy road surfaces. The transmission logic has been reset to allow for quicker up and downshifts. And, the California T HS exhaust system has been redesigned with silencers featuring two primary pipes and a new geometry designed to yield an exhaust note that increases progressively as engine speed increases, with a sound in keeping with the car’s more sporty character.
The new front grille in matte Grigio Ferro Met and the rear diffuser in the same color with matte black fences and matte black tailpipes as well as a special plaque in the cockpit indicate that the Ferrari California T rocks the HS optional package.
