After its global debut in Frankfurt in September 2017, Ferrari Portofino has travelled to Nansha, China, to showcase the perfect blend of sportiness, elegance and on-board comfort. The premiere of the Ferrari Portofino in China is another tribute to the 70 glorious years of Ferrari, the most illustrious automotive marque in the world.
The launch ceremony was staged in Nansha, a place centrally located within the Pearl River Delta region and widely known as Southern China’s finest nautical leisure and recreation destination.
With its neon lights across an array of buildings surrounding the harbour, the place truly reflects the essence of Portofino, the picturesque resort on the Italian Riviera known for its colourfully painted buildings that line the shore.
Powered by the Ferrari V8 turbo, the new car sprints from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds thanks to the adoption of new components and the specific calibration of the engine management software. The characteristic Ferrari V8 soundtrack has also been further enhanced and can be fully appreciated, particularly in top-down driving. It is equipped with the third- generation electronic rear differential (E-Diff3) to improve both mechanical grip and the control of the car on the limit. The Ferrari Portofino is the first GT in the range to be fitted with EPS (Electric Power Steering).
An aggressively-styled Ferrari Portofino features various on-board comforts: an infotainment system with a 10.25” touchscreen display; a new air-conditioning system that improves occupant comfort both with the top up or down; a new steering wheel; 18-way electrically adjustable seats with a new backrest design that boosts legroom for rear seat passengers; and the passenger display. The new wind deflector can cut air flow inside the cabin by 30% and also reduces aerodynamic noise.
