Water Street Tampa, the new 56-acre district in downtown Tampa, revealed the amenities at Asher, the neighborhood’s newest collection of luxury rental residences. The development includes nine million square feet of new commercial, residential, hospitality, entertainment, cultural, retail and educational spaces to the community, all connected by a pedestrian-focused street plan and public green space. Water Street Tampa is the first WELL Precertified Community in the world under the WELL Community Standard, and received LEED silver certification under the category of LEED® for Neighborhood Development: Plan, which focuses on the design of public spaces between buildings and how they will be used by people in the community.

Designed by world-renowned architect Morris Adjmi, Asher’s name draws inspiration from ash trees, which represent creative expression, productivity, strength and longevity, as well as the Hebrew word for happy. The 22-story building features oversized divided-light windows and a custom art collection curated by Adjmi’s team that showcases over 40 works by national and international artists. Asher offers 490 rental residences ranging from studio to two-bedroom homes.
The curated amenity collection at Asher was conceived to promote socialization among residents. The signature amenity is the rooftop pool deck — the largest in all of Water Street Tampa. The rooftop space includes 70 lounge chairs, cabanas, outdoor kitchens, an outdoor social garden and an entertainment lawn. Inside, residents enjoy a state-of-the-art fitness center, entertainment lounge, café, media lounge and co-working space with private conference rooms.
Through a collaboration with SPP, national hospitality operator Method Co.will service the building’s extensive suite of amenities and provide special events such as culinary, wellness and fitness programming.

Asher’s residents will have access to Wagamama, the international Asian-inspired restaurant brand, and a Synovus bank branch, that will open inside the building later this year. They will also be able to enjoy the city’s best cultural, dining and entertainment options, including the Tampa Riverwalk, Amalie Arena, the Florida Aquarium and Sparkman Wharf, Water Street Tampa’s popular waterfront dining, office and community gathering destination.
