Last June, Maserati and Hiroshi Fujiwara, the founder of fashion label Fragment Design, have partnered to create limited-edition Ghibli Operanera and Ghibli Operabianca. Now brands collaborate on Fragment meets Maserati, a limited-edition capsule collection of streetwear.
Co-created by Fujiwara and Maserati with a visionary spirit that reshapes the rules of pop culture, the range includes two styles of hoodies, oversized t-shirts and a baseball cap decorated with the signifiers of these two iconic brands. The collection combines Hiroshi Fujiwara’s sensitivity to modern street culture and Maserati’s boldness towards a new era. A t-shirt is garnished with the “Fragment Meets Maserati” dual branding alongside a graphic of the distinctive radiator grille that is featured on all Maserati cars. Another tee has dual branding and Fragment design’s signature lightning bolt logo.
Hiroshi Fujiwara is a famous trendsetter, a maverick. The pioneer of the streetwear culture of Tokyo in the 1980s, he was one of the first DJs to import hip hop into the Land of the Rising Sun, and as a producer and musician, he has worked with international recording stars. As a visual artist, he specializes in expressing aspects of the urban experience moods.
