After the sales launch, 685 First Avenue, which is being developed by Solow Building Company, presented a month-long design series that were held in collaboration with some of the building’s most esteemed partners, including the trailblazers in smart home innovation and Richard Meier & Partners Architects design team.
The intimate conversations, that took place at the sales gallery, located at 300 East 42nd Street, gathered the brokers and Osbee and Crestron, leaders in the home automation industry. Together the two companies discussed the one-of-a-kind system and how 685 First Avenue is the first development of its scale to offer a fully integrated home automation system controllable by a single app. Additional brokers joined us for talks with the leading members of the Richard Meier & Partners Architects design team to learn more about 685 First Avenue’s singular design and the striking contrast between its bright interiors and black glass exterior.
Standing 43 stories in height, 685 First Avenue is a beautiful addition to Manhattan’s ever-evolving skyline. The building signifies the first condominium project for industry veteran Solow Building Company, and is comprised of 148 expansive residences. Situated along the East River with condominiums starting on the 28th floor, incredible views of Manhattan and the East River are a hallmark of each home.
The residences at 685 First Avenue will be fully automated and integrated with a custom system by Crestron. Each home will be fitted with a built-in Crestron ‘smart home’ system that regulates temperature, lighting and the motorized window shades. These functions, and the potential for others, will be seamlessly controlled by residents through any iOS or Android device on the “Pyng” app.
