Gucci unveiled the second Hortus Deliciarum High Jewelry collection, which includes more than 130 pieces that are mainly one of a kind. Named Hortus Deliciarum (Latin for ‘Garden of Delights’), the collection takes its cue from the temporary yet recurring beauty of the changing sky and its shifting colors and constellations, from the romanticism of a rose garden, and motifs from animal kingdom.

Designed by the Creative Director Alessandro Michele and presented in a beautiful campaign featuring British actress and model Jodie Turner-Smith, the new High Jewelry collection is also showcased in a series of images with a dedicated film shot by a British fashion photographer and film director Glen Luchford.

In the campaign for the High Jewelry release, Jodie Turner-Smith is showcased draped in jewels. In one snap, she is pictured sitting in a pool, wearing a magnificent diamond and emerald necklace with a yellow bird perched on her finger. This image was inspired by a photo of late Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor that was taken by Helmut Newton in 1989.
The new Gucci Hortus Deliciarum collection’s motifs revolve around four themes. It combines Italian craftsmanship with the romantic and poetic story of Gucci. Each gemstone has been selected for its quality and uniqueness, speaking to the painstaking attention to detail that Gucci creations are known for. In an array of pieces, the world of nature brings to life a collection redefined with maximalist allure. The new jewelry range includes rings, bracelets, necklaces, solitaries, and even a selection of bedazzled timepieces.
