Gucci unveiled a new campaign for its Le Marché des Merveilles jewelry collection. Inspired by Flemish paintings from the Renaissance, Swedish fashion photographer Julia Hetta employed techniques from the famous works for images that capture pieces from collection and Gucci Cruise 2019 pieces. A dark light pervades the frame, and the line is mixed with objects that represent life and death in nature, including a bird’s nest, fruit and a pug.
The feline head continues to be a defining motif of Gucci. Crafted from 18k yellow gold, Le Marché des Merveilles necklace is enriched with diamond-set eyes and an pink topaz-precious gemstone at the back. It can be worn with the topaz in the front or with the feline head in the front.
The matching ring is made from 18k yellow gold and is garnished with diamond-set eyes and either a pink opal or a black onyx with a center diamond on the opposite side. When worn the ring shows the opal or onyx but when removed the feline head is visible. As an unexpected touch, the feline head is visible on the golden earrings from behind.
The beautiful 18k yellow gold cuff bracelet features feline heads on each end, enriched with white diamonds in the eyes. The jewel is designed with a hollow core to eliminate the need for a clasp closure by giving the bracelet incredible flexibility while guaranteeing a durable construction.
The collection also features a matching yellow gold necklace with feline head pendant in sterling silver. It is embellished with white and grey diamonds and a pearl in its mouth.
