Looks inspired by theatre and nightlife from Gucci Spring Summer 2019 collection created by Alessandro Michele, appear in the Gucci Showtime campaign captured by Glen Luchford. Impersonating movie stars from 40s and 50s, characters in the ad tap dance and perform on the grand theatre stages and surreal dreamscapes. The campaign is an homage to the beginnings of celebrity culture and the golden age of Hollywood musicals.
The playful spirit of the ear is reflected in the Gucci Showtime campaign through gowns decorated with long shimmering beads and sequin suits from Spring Summer 2019. Photographed in grand theaters or on movie sets, the images are inspired by some of the greatest movies of all times including ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’ the 1954, 20th Century-Fox musical-comedy-drama and ‘Singin’ in the Rain,’ the 1952 musical-romantic comedy.
Presented in Paris in September last year, Gucci Spring Summer 2019 collection features gowns with fronds of feathers or long shimmering beads, leather tweed and traditional check suits, and a new bag shaped like Mickey Mouse.
