H. Moser & Cie. began 2023 with a new Endeavour Reference, the minimalistic and mind-bending Endeavour Centre Seconds Vantablack.
The timepiece is marked by its blued seconds hand, signifying a double hairspring powering the HMC 200 automatic manufacture movement within. This double hairspring consists of two identical balance springs that beat in opposite directions to counter any external effect on the escapement. The center seconds provides time in its purest form. The central hand sweeps across the dial reminding the wearer of the fleeting nature of time. Decorated with the famous Moser double stripes, the calibre HMC 200 features a large, engraved oscillating weight and guarantees a power reserve of at least 3 days.
The watch’s dial incorporates the Vantablack® – the darkest man-made material ever made. It is made up of millions of carbon nanotubes which capture 99.965% of light photons. By limiting the light reflection, the dial gives off the impression of a black hole. Applying hour markers on Vantablack® is practically impossible, which is why the hour markers on this watch are beneath the dial, finished in a contrasting frosted silver tone.
This new addition to the Endeavour core collection is complemented by a black leather strap.
The Endeavour Centre Seconds Vantablack timepiece retails for $27,600 USD.
