Evoking turquoise waters of paradise islands, the Pioneer MEGA Cool watches, available in both centre seconds and tourbillon iterations, feature the watchmaker’s famed blue lagoon fume dial.
The turquoise dial of the Pioneer Tourbillon MEGA Cool is decorated with the brand’s logo at 12 o’clock and anthracite grey faceted applique indices topped with Super-LumiNova® markers. Its three-dimensional hands are made from two sections, overlaid with strips of Globolight®, an innovative ceramic-based material that contains Super-LumiNova®.
The $54,900 Pioneer Tourbillon MEGA Cool is powered by the self-winding HMC 804 calibre is equipped with an impressive in-house hairspring made at H. Moser’s sister company Precision Engineering. Thanks to this pair of matched hairsprings, the movement of the point of gravity on each spring when it expands is corrected, improving accuracy and isochronism in continual pursuit of perfection. The tourbillon’s unique design makes it an interchangeable module, assembled and regulated independently of the movement via a simple plug and play system which allows for easy servicing.
The $15,300 Pioneer Centre Seconds MEGA Cool can be paired with a steel bracelet or a leather, rubber or even Kevlar strap. Featuring a steel case water-resistant to 12 ATM, it is graced with the Blue Lagoon fumé dial, in shades of turquoise. It ensures legibility as well as comfort, thanks to the Super-LumiNova® elements adorning its flange and hands.
