H. Moser & Cie. teamed up with artisanal clothier The Armoury to create the new Endeavour Small Seconds Total Eclipse. Available in two limited editions of 28 pieces, this timepiece combines classicism and modernity in a 38 mm steel case, on a two-toned leather strap developed by the highly specialized menswear brand.
H. Moser & Cie. x The Armoury collaboration blends excellence in fashion and watchmaking. H. Moser & Cie.’s CEO Edouard Meylan and The Armoury founder Mark Cho connected on common passions for craftsmanship and classic elegance for today’s luxury consumer.
The design of the Endeavour Small Seconds Total Eclipse evokes a total solar eclipse when the sun is completely hidden behind the moon. Inspired by this celestial event, the Vantablack dial that absorbs 99.965% of light embodies complete darkness while the steel/red gold inner bezels represent the halo of the outer sun (or the lack of it). The watch also features various discreet details. The marker dots of the indices create definition and rhythm to the dial. This is a first for H. Moser & Cie. and highlights the expertise the company has gained from working with Vantablack®, a surface that can be damaged by just a simple touch. Consisting of carbon nanostructures, Vantablack® cannot come into contact with anything else.
The hour and minute hands, finished with a circle at the tip, reflect the Breguet style, while the small second hand is garnished with a dot-style marker, echoing the indices. The HMC 327 hand wound movement powers the timepiece and features a 3-day power reserve.
The watch comes on a black calf leather strap, which has been designed and created by The Armoury. Combining two different textures of leather, it enhances the elegance of the Endeavour Small Seconds Total Eclipse.
The $25,900 USD watch is available in The Armoury stores in New York and Hong Kong, as well as on the e-commerce platforms for both brands.
