In a new Gucci Men’s Tailoring Cruise 2019 campaign, a singer, songwriter and actor Harry Style travels to Villa Lante outside of Rome. The pop star, together with a lamb, kid and piglet, are portrayed in the stylized gardens of the villa built in late Renaissance.
Mixing pattern, color, patches and unusual proportions, the new Gucci Men’s Tailoring Cruise 2019 collection contrasts against the villa’s cascades, fountains, sculptures and grottoes. Photographed by Glen Luchford, Harry Styles models colourful jacquards, intarsia knits and corduroy designed by Alessandro Michele. Naturally, the campaign was styled and creatively directed by Alessandro Michele and art directed by Christopher Simmonds.
In his first campaign for Gucci, Harry Styles was photographed in a ‘chippy’ – the traditional British fish and chip shop. He was donning the House’s suiting designed by Alessandro Michele for Fall Winter 2018 and was posing with a chicken and a dog.
As well as teasing the Cruise 2019 Men’s campaign, Gucci has also just launched a new Instagram page. Devoted to its vision of the world of beauty and guided by creative director Alessandro Michele, the new account @guccibeauty features a series of artworks that traverse history as well as gender, culture, and geography.
Gucci Men’s Tailoring Cruise 2019 campaign will launch in-full in November.
