Heesen Yachts’ Project Aster is on the way at the shipyard in Oss: the hull and superstructure of the yacht are now joined together. The 50 meter yacht is currently available for sale and is due for delivery in June 2019.
Project Aster is the most recent yacht in the 5000 aluminium class whose exterior lines are designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. Her semi-displacement hull and two MTU diesel engines 16V 4000, promise a top speed of 23 knots and a range of 3,100 nautical miles at 11 knots.
The yacht’s interior is styled by Italian designer Cristiano Gatto, and created by expert craftsmen at Heesen Yachts Interiors. Project Aster will be the only yacht in its class to feature silver ceiling from Satori and woven leather developed in partnership between leather supplier Foglizzo and Christiano Gatto. In all respects, high-end materials and refined features define the interior of the yacht. New and exclusive finishes have been applied to the Foglizzo leather, such as the woven brocade technique – a signature of Coco Chanel’s.
Twelve guests will enjoy over 500 square metres of interior space serviced by nine crew. The versatile layout comprises five lower deck suites, and a master stateroom on the main deck forward, making Project Aster perfect for both charter and private use.
